I can't give you in-depth advice re student halls since I didn't stay in Hillhead or crombie-johnston while in 1st year; however, medics could be found in all kinds of halls. If you're asking whether all the party animals subconsciously choose the same Hall, then the answer is - no :P

As far as your conditional offer is concerned, the condition is typically final. They have more applicants than offers and do not have a reason to hold onto a particular applicant if he failed to meet his end of the agreement.

Party-factor aside, the new carnegie halls are the newest and top of the range (at least when rent is considered).
