Aberdeen 2011 entry
Why Aberdeen ?
What are your experiences ?
What's your UKCAT ?
How many times have you applied before ?
Do you have a good feeling about this year ? I do....

Hi Medic4
Aberdeen because other half works offshore. UKCAT in sig. First time applying. Dreading the wait once I hit the send button my UCAS form. Tried to paste PS today and despite < 4000 char's and 45 lines in word, UCAS said 3 lines too long...aarrghh!

Hey guys, do you know what the cut off pt fr Aberdeen was last yr. I have 7B's in GCSE, 3 A level passes, something went wrong in A levels so did a foundation yr n got distinction. Then did my degree.
I got 2:1 in Biomedical Sciences. What is my chances of getting an interview I'm Aberdeen/ anywhere in fact. Thanks guys

2:1 in biomed, Very very average UKCAT, lots of work experience and Scottish education is apparently free for EU/Scottish students ? Is this still true for medicine ? I hope so...

If you have degree then no it won't be free. SAAS will make up the difference between normal fees (c £1300) and those charged for medicine (£2900) so you will have to pay £1300 per year for 4 years then NHS bursary should pay the final year. You can apply for a maintenance loan.

What degree did you study if you don't mind me asking and what did u get 2:1/1st? They probably want to know if you have enough Chemistry to make up for A-level Chemistry if you don't have it at B grade. I could be wrong though. Best of luck, hopefully is a good sign
