Kings Hall V. Kings Street Exchange and other awful decisions!
Hello everyone!
I'm trying to decide on accommodation and looked through some of the older threads but couldn't find anything about these two places.
I've narrowed it down and I know that I want an en-suite, newish build and somewhere near the main campus.
I wanted to ask if anyone has seen both these places and if there is any significant difference i.e room size, sunlight, old building v new, pretty location (ok that's totally unnecessary but what they heck!) etc. It's a significant decision as one is a 50 week lease and the other 42 weeks but I'd rather have a room that is more comfortable and with easy access to uni sports and library facilities.
I've stayed in Opal accommodation previously during my undergrad degree and that seem similar to Unite. Being a post-grad I don't want to do the really dingy student digs but at the same time don't want to miss out on meeting new people.
I wish they had better virtual tours of the buildings!!!
Also, I was just wondering if anyone liked the New Carnigie Court buildings- they seem a bit far but I might put them down as a reserve choice if I opt for King's Hall. Unfortunately they don't allow you to pick your 5 choices between all the university and unite buildings on offer just University or Unite.
Thanks for your help!
