Clinicals (Phase 3) at Aberdeen Uni

Hey ya peeps, in 2-3 months time I'll be a newbie here at Aberdeen University. Im a partner Medical student from Malaysia, so me and another 9 students (I think?) would be joining the existing year 3 students from Uni Aberdeen.

So yeah Id like to say a big helloooo to all of you there....

Id jsut completed filling up the Inverness placement choices form... and the whole thing is jsut very daunting.. I was wondering how are clinicals at Aberdeen University like? Just pour in all the advice related to these clinical years! 2.5 years of studying just theory has really blurred my mind of what to expect in the future

And the exams... I heard they are very tough, huhu ..

Hey there

It's good to hear we'll get a new intake of international students in 4th year (I'm in 2nd just now). I can't comment on the clinical rotations but I'm sure you'll enjoy them (as most of my friends did) xD

Unfortunately, NMM is by no means the 'official' forum for Aberdeen uni med school, and mostly provides information for applicants. I'm afraid that 4th and 5th years don't come here very often.. BUT if you'd like to contact one of them, just PM me or simply join the facebook page called 'University of Aberdeen Medical School' - you should be able to track down one of older medics down there.

PS. Yeah, the 4th year exams are hellish (assessing all the knowledge gained in both theoretical and practical classes during 4 years) - but they are what you could call 'finals', after all...
