Helloo!! Regarding the school fees, would it be first 2 years: normal science-based degree cost, the other 3 years: clinical medicine cost?

ie. Total fees for the whole course (for internationals)=
Standard Science-based programme fee (Postgraduate Diploma only) £10,065 X 2 years
+ Standard Clinical Medicine programme fee £23,625 X 3 years

I'm not sure how it works out for the internationals, but if it's anything like the EU/UK price plan, you're going to pay the full medical degree fee for 5 years... sorry.

BTW. the first two years are not science-based, you'll do tons of clinical stuff too, and now with the revised programme there's hospital teaching beginning in year 1 - therefore I don't see how science degree fees can be justified in the first couple of years.

oh gosh... if that's true it's gonna cost me !@#!@#!$$$$ >.<

Well this came from the 09/10 leaflet for internationals:
    Years 1& 2 :£11,500 per year
    Years 3, 4 & 5 :£22,500 per year

The thing is, I can't find an updated one for 10/11 so I'm not sure whether the fees will remain the same esp since the curriculum has been revamped ):

    Hey Octopus

I've got an update for you I asked one of the internationals in my year and it turns out you're right - first and second years are 'half-price'. I hope this will also be true when you guys start.

Hi, I've kinda just decided to have a gap year.
Does anyone know if Aberdeen allow people to defer entry after they have got an offer to go this year?

It's hard to say whether they would or not, but I'd think that the chances are slim, if existant at all. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to ask, though.

I'm not really too sure, but I think it would depend on what you will be doing with your gap year. If you're taking a year out to party then I don't think they would be too happy, however, if you were to be doing volunteer work or something similar they might be more forgiving. You're probably best phoning admissions and seeing what they say about it.
