@Entropy - I think you're partly right, not *all* international applicants have to be interviewed, though those who live close enough to Malaysia/Singapore might have to attend their interviews there... but don't rely on my opinion - maybe there are other international students who have more solid sources on the topic? - I'm just repeating what I heard

Personally, I don't think an interview could be arranged with such a short notice (especially since they choose the date, it's not the applicant's decision) - if u really want them to interview u when u're in UK, u should email the admissions and ask for such an opportunity, but do it at least a month prior to when u're expecting to be here. Who knows, maybe u'll get lucky.

@teddybeckham - once again, this may just be a rumour, but I thought Edinburgh never interviews their applicants?

I got my acknowledgment in the mail yesterday. I got so excited when I saw a letter from Aberdeen, but then it was just the acknowledgment (although the portal is definitely interesting).

Kensei, I'm aware that international students are not required to interview, but I'm just wondering, do dates get sent out by the school? If so, when do you think that happens?
Also, if I'm visiting UK before they ask me for an interview (which I'm not sure they even do with internationals), is it okay if I get in touch with them and say that I'm here so I'd be willing to come and give an interview? Will they be accommodating with that (esp. since they'll probably know that if I'm coming to interview in mid December, I've chosen Oxford/Cambridge)?

Doubt it. Im sure they don't want people turning up on random days and what if your not invited to interview?

edinburgh doesn't interview international applicants and kings too. So if your ps is good, grades are good, ukcat is good, then more or less you are in (applies to international applicants only). But for aberdeen, i think international applicants have to be interviewed where possible. i couldn't apply for edin and kings because they require me to have taken biology if not i *think* i would have gotten in. haha

I also doubt the fact that they would *change* interview dates for people. Like as entropy said if he/she is coming to UK for an interview at oxford/cambridge and asks if it is possible to be interviewed at that time, would they do so? They might view it as "why not come to UK when we invite for an interview and ask oxford to amend the dates?".....But nothing wrong with trying Good luck, I am sure you will manage it well

Oooh good luck for your Glasgow interview! They were really friendly, very informal, I quite enjoyed the whole experience. an I ask what your aberdeen interview was like? And what sorts of questions did they ask?
