Hi all!
What a lovely thread! I was glad to see it!
I don't know if i'm quite in your club though since I'm in my third of my degree and haven't quite graduated but have applied to Aberdeen for 2010 entry too! I'm really nervous, i keep thinking of my UCAS form (sent yesterday) and if there were any mistakes on it..eek! I've been predicted a high 2.1 but my UKCAT wasnt the most amazing thing on the planet...
I'm also applying to HYM as are couple of you are along with keele and leeds.
I think the waiting is going to kill me..i don't know how i'm going to cope with my finals and this!
I wish everyone good luck! We have stressful times ahead...

haha yeah you've made the club!
There's no point in worrying, the forms are only away and the UKCAT doesn't get forwarded until November. Then on top of that Aberdeen can interview as late as March '10! haha if you stress that long there won't be much left for the 5yrs of the course!
Applying for undergraduate 2010 (A100) at:
Aberdeen Acknowledged
Dundee Rejected
Glasgow UNCONDITIONAL!
Newcastle UNCONDITIONAL!

I'm doing my undergrad in biomedical sciences. I absolutely love my course! Was thinking of doing a phd in immunology but decided to pursue medicine instead...clearly!
Glad to know I made the club! Oh i didn't know the ukcat was forwarded in november. I guess we can forget about it for a couple of months and concentrate on whatever we're doing!

Hey all,
I'm glad to see there's continuing interest in the course in the form of many new grad applicants
Actually, they only *say* they'll be done by March, but in reality it might take 'em couple more months to interview all suitable candidates. If you make it to the waiting list, it's even possible to get interviewed in July/August (my flatmate was in this exact situation this year). So yeah, I agree - no point in stressing out now if there's potential for 10-month-long period of uncertainty... but don't let that break you spirits, folks

Greetings All,
I studied in Aberdeen where I got my 2.1 BSc(Hons) in Occupational Therapy... now I have applied to study medicine in Aberdeen. So very nervous I keep checking my progress on track (goodness knows why as I doubt it could change in the space of twenty minutes )
Does anyone know the time frame between application and getting called for interview? Very best of luck to everyone , ideally we'll all get in!
PS I'm tickled by the fact that I only just realised I'm a mature student
Scary

Hi Medicine Woman,
The interview process begins in November, but it progresses until March/April (with a short Xmas/new year break) and it's impossible to predict at which point u're going to be invited to one. Best not book a 3-month long Spring holidays in New Zealand yet, if you know what I mean

Hi Kensei,
Did you apply to Aberdeen as a graduate? Do you know what support system is in place for grads who take up their med school place? I've read that it's a nurturing place, but thought I'd ask someone who is there who might be able to elaborate. Any info is greatly appreciated!

Thanks Kensei, how did you guess I was planning on eloping to New Zealand for three months?
Looks like I'll have to sit tight and wait for contact from them!
