im actually really confused about what books too buy. I checked waterstone's and the Vander's Physiology book costs about £45. And as for the booklist, i cant find it, unless its the one in the small blue handbook we received on the 2nd last page-ish. Are there no 2nd hand bookshops available to buy these books in aberdeen? and also do u have to buy all the books before u head to uni? im sorry, but i feel like the only one who is unprepared and doesnt know what to do! :s..any advice would be appreciated!!

white rose, no i dont think u have to buy books before u get there, most med students usually advice you dont, because they should discuss at welcome lecutres what books we'll need. the recommended book list was on the pre-med pamphlet they sent us, something like Academic, Educational and Business Books - Blackwell Bookshop Online, are u on facebook-theres loads of discussions about it on there. they have a med book shop at the uni i believe, but dont know about second hand, but i got some of mine off ebay and amazon.

Ok, bookwise - I got Clinically Oriented Anatomy, which I love, together with Netter's Anatomy atlas
... also, there's something on Genetics by Passarge, and Vander Physiology. Apart from netter, they're all "virtual", though. PDF and such.
white roses - u'll only need the anatomy book (moore), vander, and the biochem one. The others are supplementary. As far as buying goes, check amazon just like elz said - u can save anywhere between 2-10 quid on each new book there.after an extreme NMM makeover u might find me using another profile (Kensei)..
