hey now! Edinburghs hoodie motto changes every year! It's voted on by the students. I do agree though, all the non-medics (including me) hate the snobbery of the Don't act like you're not impressed.
The hoodie motto is supposed to be a pun for good sake!

Firstly youa re from fife, therefore all of your opinions are void as of now. that last one counts because you snuck under the radar.
and also, we are well aware that it is a pun, however we are trying to inject some life into this forum.
So bleh, bleh, bleh. oh and also, has anyone ever seen teh film eurotrip??

It may change every year but they will never quite settle on one which makes them sound down to earth, sadly.
Me and ruridh are trying to conjure a feast from the remains of a carcass and we need all the help we can get to get a juicy discussion, therefore we bypass the pun-ness and focus directly on how edinburgh is quintessentially...gay. Controversy.
And yes, I saw eurotrip the other night, nowhere near as good as roadtrip, it had it's moments.

controversy is what drives the world in my opinion.
I mean where would we be if no-one said something bad to someone else. we would live in a utopian dreamworld, and frankly that would just not be fun.
You are right, still cracked me up though. The robot dancing bit is priceless.

the thing that annoys me about that hoodie is that all the years before it (and most likely all the years after it) had something witty and this one was just plain...arrogant.
It doesn't do much for how people view Edinburgh! It is a great uni though! Not as, erm, good as, erm, Aberdeen though....

Pants, i know full well edinburgh medical school is much better facility (and probably teaching) wise than aberdeen, not by much, but it is. Have you seen the medical school?! Holy s**t.
It's the people that ruin it, the guy at the open day last year said literally: 'Basically, if you dont get 5 A's, you probably wont get in'...wow, thanks manny for the motivation, top notch stuff. nd half the folk milling about were saying 'Mummy mummy, where on earth is the library that this leaflet says we need to proceed to? Dang, i think i forgot to feed princess the pony this morning, I'll get Hamilton the Butler to do it'
Aberdeen has good facilities (not excellent) but pretty good, but an immensely better atmosphere. Alwyas choose the uni with better atmosphere rather than facilities.
Educationalk lecture over sorry.
HAHAHAHA the robot fighting, the noises they make is amazing, i want to to that someday. We can act it out i suspect.

Haha well my parents are both GP's in a small village practise (3 and a half doctors in total... yes, i meant 3 and a half) and i think that they count as your pretty average 'rural doctor'.
