Hey R2B,

Patient contact occurs throughout the programme. In year one you do patient visits where you and another first year medic are sent to their homes to interview them about their health. In year two patient contact time is increased. In January of the term you begin weekly placements to the hospital. In year 3 your patient contact grows considerably - by second term (January) you're spending 4 days/week in the hospital. In 4th and 5th year you'll swear that you live in a hospital as you're there nearly all the time (lectures on campus are few and far between at that point).

Hope this helps.
