I've done my PADI rescue diver as well and the only time I was hindered by my own tiiny size (read: lack of muscles!) was when we were doing lifts out of the water and carrying people up the beach. That was tough! Make sure to get paired with someone just as small.
I've given up diving since going to uni because a) no money to spend on it b) can't be bothered to transfer to BSAC c) waay too cold in the sea here.
In conclusion, i'm waiting for my parents to take me on holiday to somewhere nice!
Best diving: Red sea is amazing and thailand wasn't bad either (on the other side from where the tsunami struck.)
It's nice to see so many diving medics out there!
