Today started with an amusing event. Just as I was getting ready to step out of the front door, there was a knock and I opened it to greet two little old ladies. They looked purposeful and instantly I knew...

They wanted to talk to me about the role that the bible has in my life.

I professed my wish to chat with them about Jesus, but unfortunately I was due in court within the hour. I added (unnessarily as it happened) that my probation officer wouldn't be very happy if I was late again.

They suddenly weren't very keen to chat any more. I cant think why!

I absolutely *love* wasting my time. Really I do.

I arrived at the court around a quarter of an hour early (just to be sure!!) and found out that I wasn't due to be called until an hour and a half after I was told I would be!

Argh!!! :x

I melted through the floor.

When I finally managed to pull myself from my mini China Syndrome I decided to pop across the road to the conveniently located Weatherspoons (that man follows me around and sets up student friendly pub everywhere I go, honest!) and get a coffee.

"Coffee? Are you sure you don't want something alcoholic"

The lovely young lady working behind the bar really couldn't understand how I had an NUS card but no desire to drink at 11:30 in the morning and, to be honest, it felt wrong to order a non alcoholic drink. But sober I must stay, so coffee it was.

I somehow managed to kill all that time just sitting drinking coffee. I must have looked like such a sad case; all dressed up with no place to go, all alone. (This is where you go "awww")

I arrived back at court and was frisked (again). I watched as the defendent and plaintiff in my case were sent for. They disappeared for ten minutes, came back out and left.

This was an interesting turn of events.

I waited for half an hour in case there was some procedure requiring that I be called without the witnesses. I got bored and went to see the court bailiff who was kind enough to tell me that the case had been adjourned.

Like I said, I love wasting my time.

In other news, I'm working the pit for the Westlife concert on the 4th of September. Yay, screaming, crushed pre teen girlies!!!
