Intercostal drain insertion and removal (2 techniques)

Intercostal drain insertion is an important skill to master for any junior clinician. This module teaches both insertion and removal of an intercostal drain, using two alternative suturing techniques (simple and mattress) to anchor the drainage tube in place.

The simulator utilizes a split screen technique to correctly angle the forceps. This allows visualization of the proceedings during the blunt dissection of the intercostal muscles.
